PROJECT
CAPTURA surveying and inspections brand wanted to provide its OHL field staff with a completely new set of standards, the brief was that this code of conduct needed to be carried in the field, given to landowners if required and be easily understood by it field staff.
APPROACH
The patrollers code team reviewed all current standards set out by the OHL industry and found there was a real lack of clear guidelines, also it was found that the information that was available was poorly presented to patrollers in the field. Our prime objective was that this needed to work for the teams in the field so we carried out a number of site visits in Scotland. These site visits were extremely important and helped us understand the conditions and interactions that patrollers come across throughout their working day.
We took this valuable information back and working with our design partner Steve at wadecreative we created a number of prototypes which were sent out to the field for testing. We got great feedback from the patrollers and worked on a new code of conduct that fits in your pocket and then opened out which could be given to local landowners.
BENEFITS
The new OHL code of conduct has been a huge success in terms of getting patrollers to think about the environment in which they are patrons but also it has given local farmers confidence that our patrollers have respect and care for their property.
Patrollers code is now working with our surveying and inspections brand on a infographic patrollers map with embed QR codes.
